Dear Celebrants,
For more than 50 years, Messiah has boldly proclaimed the gospel of the people of God. Messiah is being challenged to proclaim the same message for another 50 years. Can we be up to the task? Can we find strength to go on to another 50? Messiah, as well as other churches, has to ask this mostly of the “younger” generation. Those of us in the “AARP” category will not be here for the next full 50 years … perhaps close to it but not for the full period. Our “younger” generation is our hope, our voice, our future. Let us embrace them with this challenge. Let us move forward with the victory of the Risen Christ and the grace, mercy, and forgiveness that the Savior brings us. The Lord has blessed us indeed.
